Our specialized breeds

Our specialized breeds: Designer Breeds (Hybrid pups) and Chihuahuas.

Since we specialize in these breeds, that means we use more than one breeder for these breeds, that way we can always have puppies available. We do not use puppy mills, who rebreed the same puppies and keep them in horrible conditions! Our puppies come from loving homes and are treated with love and care from the time they were born! We keep in touch with breeders of other breeds, such as Shih Tzu, Maltese, Cocker Spaniel, Beagle, Labrador Retriever and Siberian Huskies. That way, when they have a litter available we can try to provide different breeds at different times. But since our breeders don't breed year round the way that puppy mills do, we do not always have other breeds available.

What are Designer Breeds?

Designer breeds are puppies that are a cross between two purebred dogs. Designer breeds can still have genetic problems because you are crossing two first-generation dogs, however the percentage of hybrid dogs with genetic problems is much lower than purebred dogs because the gene pool is mixed. Many times, a purebred is mixed with another purebred to create cute puppies with the desired characteristics of the parents. For example, a shihpoo is a cross between a Shih Tzu and Poodle. These puppies will have the poodle hypoallergenic coat and also shed less than purebred shih tzu puppies, while still having the long fluffy coat.
